THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police sought legal advice whether a case can be registered against former police chief T P Senkumar for mocking ISRO former scientist Nambi Narayanan a day after the government announced Padma Bhushan for him. The legal advice was sought on the complaint of a social activist. The complaint was given to the chief minister and the DGP. The complainant had requested to register case on the incident of insulting Padma Bhushan awardee at a public event.

Senkumar had stated that Nambi shouldn’t have recommended for the Padma Award as he has not contributed anything to the country. Who recommended him for the award? Senkumar had also sought an explanation from them. Those who announced the award to Nambi Narayanan, will they give one to people like Govinda Chami, Ameerul Islam and Mariam Rasheeda. He said the award came at a time when a Supreme Court committee was looking into the ISRO spy case.
