THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thrithala MLA V T Balram has come forward harshly criticising 2019 budget presented by Thomas Isaac. Balram said that the government has showered a lot of promises always in the budget. The government has not fulfilled many promises from their budget in 2016, said Balram in his Facebook post.

“The government has not implemented the Rs 2000 cr. projects for the people affected from Ockhi. Finance minister claim that the government is ‘expanding’ the aid to Rs. 1000 cr this year. They are keen on building the AKG memorial. If they had shown the same kind of interest in the matters of fishermen, it would have been wonderful”, said Balram.

“The basis of the budget is the hope that the income from GST will get increased to 30%. However, it decreased 10% now. Finance minister is day dreaming”, said Balram.
