KOCHI: The Kerala High Court asked the government the actual health issues of P K Kunhanandan undergoing jail term in the T P Chandrashekaran murder case. The court asked what difficulty he has in jail. In response to that, his advocate informed the court that he has difficulties in performing day-to-day activities and has complications in walking. However, the court asserted that he can lie in prison comfortably. Along with that, the court asked for how long he has been in jail. It is heard that he was out on parole for many days. If he needs any help, other prisoners are there, the court said and demanded a report from the government with all the details. The government informed the court that he has serious health issues and should be treated immediately. If prisoners fall sick, instead of granting parole they should be given treatment and it is the responsibility of the government, the court had opined earlier. The court made the statement on T P’s wife K K Rema’s plea claiming that parole was granted to him for 216 days in 29 months which was illegal.
