THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Narendra Modi government has cheated people by showering promises in the interim budget, says Congress Working Committee member Oommen Chandy.

“This is only a frightened response to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Minimum Income Guarantee’ scheme. The annual pension plan for farmers is just another promise like the 15 lakhs promise. If this announcement had come at least a year back, people would have accepted. These promises came after realizing that this government will fall down to the wrath of farmers and workers from unorganized sector”, Oommen Chandy said.
