THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government is ready to hold talks with the protestors demanding to include the names of endolsufan victims in the beneficiary list, detected by the expert panel. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed to hold talks with the protestors.
The victims are staging a Sankada Yatra to Cliff House, the official residence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, on Sunday. The protestors are of the stand that they will not go back unless a definite guarantee is obtained from the government. Endosulfan affected mothers are on a protest in front of the secretariat by a team led by Daya Bayi.
Literary writers M Mukundan, Sara Joseph, Kalpetta Narayanan, Sunil P Elayidam, Madhupal, Ambikasuthan Mangad reached the protest venue and said their demands were reasonable. They said the government should change their stand that endosulfan was sprinkled only in 11 panchayats and people there will only be affected.
