NADAPURAM: Two-year-old toddler died after swallowing battery. Fathima Amania (2), daughter of Valayam Cherumoth native Rasheed is the deceased. She swallowed two days back while bathing. The parents were not aware of this. Fathima was not having her food properly for the past two days and was taken to the hospital. On checking, the doctor found that a battery is stuck in her food pipe. She was rushed to the Kozhikode Medical College, but couldn’t be saved. Earlier, Fathima’s brother, Muhammed Rishad, died while taking a bath in a river.
