KOCHI: KCBC has issued the guidelines for opposing the sexual discriminations against women and children. The guideline states that minor children should not be resided in churches or with priests. It is also said in the guidelines that if sexual violence is noticed, it should be informed to the police immediately. Priests are also advised to stay away from activities that involve talks or discussions about sexuality. KCBC has taken such a decision as many priests including Franco Mulackal was involved in sexual assault cases. Zero Malabar Sinad had also directed to form a complaint cell to deal with such complaints. Usually metropolitans are given such guidelines, however, the church has decided to provide the guidelines to everyone this time. The guidelines also state the victims should not be isolated by the church.
