kummanam-rajasekaran

KOTTAYAM: Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajashekaran is likely to return back to Kerala politics. The demand for the return of Kummanam was on the rise among a section of BJP workers in Kerala. The party wants to field him in the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat. The RSS leadership of the state has requested BJP central leadership to take steps to return him back to Kerala.

The demand to bring him back was voiced officially at the meeting held between BJP all India general secretary Ramlal and RSS leadership in Kollam. BJP state leadership has also raised the same demand. BJP state core panel meet was convened on Wednesday. The final decision has to be taken by party chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The stand of RSS central leaderships is also important.

The party is planning to field him in the capital city, where the BJP has big hope. The RSS wants either Kummanam or Suresh Gopi to contest from Thiruvananthapuram. Though there were speculations that Mohanlal will be fielded in the capital city, the actor has affirmed that politics is not his cup of tea.

Kummanam as governor will reach Kerala on Thursday to attend an official programme which was fixed earlier.
