KOTTAYAM: There is no need to expel board president A Padma Kumar, said Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran. There are no differences of opinion between the president and the commissioner. I spoke to both of them yesterday. There is nothing wrong on those associated with the party calling on the secretary. Board president had taken a different stand on the Sabarimala issue.

Devaswom commissioner had expressed displeasure on the open statements of Padma Kumar. He said that he had called on Kodiyeri to inform his displeasure on Padma Kumar’s stand.

Vasu said nobody has sought an explanation from him on the stand taken in the apex court. However, as entrusted by the board, it is my duty to give an explanation. Advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, who appeared for the board had taken a favourable stand on Sabarimala verdict.
