NEW DELHI: CPM and Congress have come forward with several strategies so that the co-operation between the parties will not have an effect in the state. It is almost sure that BJP will use this matter as a political weapon. Therefore, both fronts have decided to raise maximum allegations against each other strongly. CPM secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala have started the battle in New Delhi on Friday.

CPM central committee meet had decided to work together with Congress to defeat Mamata and BJP. Kodiyeri and Pinarayi, who had strongly opposed this union during the assembly elections have softened their stands. Kodiyeri did not reveal the stand, however he said that the party will cooperate with other suitable parties.

Meantime, leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala met the reporters after PCC presidents’ meeting in New Delhi on Saturday and revealed the decision to work together with CPM in Bengal. Bengal PCC chief Soman Mithra has also clarified this.

However, Kodiyeri and Chennithala spoke against each other’s parties harshly after declaring the union of the parties in Bengal. Ramesh Chennithala alleged that CPM is running behind Congress for votes in Bengal. He also said that corruption will be made as a weapon against the government. Kodiyeri alleged that Congress is trying for a Co-Le-B union out of fear that LDF may win. Both the fronts will raise more allegations as the campaign progresses.

Though there is an agreement that the symbols may not be used tether, this was broken during the previous assembly elections. CPM will take a final decision regarding the matter in the central committee meeting to be held on March 3rd and 4th, clarified national general secretary Sitaram Yechury.
