KOTTAYAM: I have only acted all these years. I have only worshipped acting the art, Mohanlal said while attending Deshabhimani’s Aksharamuttam. At a time when the audience was waiting for his statement on entering politics, the actor reiterated that acting is only his job. He delivered the speech in presence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The actor said, “I became an actor at the age of 17. I did not enter this field to become an actor. It happened. 40 years passed, I have only acted for so long, and I had worshipped only acting. Even today, I pray silently before shooting that everything goes well.

The actor delivered an inspirational speech on Tenzing Norgay for children. He conquered Everest in his seventh attempt and his hard work has been the reason for success, the actor said. Tenzing knew that one day he will reach there. Stories of not only success but failures should also be heard. Only then, one will realise how hard it is to win, he advised students.
