MALAPPURAM: Kanakadurga said that the moves made to isolate her is being altered as family issue. She was holding a press meet in Malappuram with Bindu. BJP and some allied parties are using my brother Bharathbhushan to frame everything as family drama.
“Since they cannot attack me personally, they are using my family to hurt me. There were no issues between me and my brother prior to the Sabarimala visit. Issues started following the visit. My brother put a napkin packet in my bag and spread the video. He is also trying to influence my husband. My husband has not taken an opposing stand”, said Kanakadurga.
“They are trying to isolate me and send me out of Malappuram. Though I have obtained huge support from the society, I have not got any support within the family. Those who have a liberal mindset should stand beside me. I need to see my children and go back to my life. I will plead for a legal action against media who spread fake news about me. I know three other young women who had visited Sabarimala”, she added.
Subhadra, Adv. Pushpa, Supplyco employees’ union state vice president (CITU) Mujeeb Rahman and Bindu’s husband Hariharan also spoke at the press meet.
