There are lot of restrictions on government officials in disclosing official matters, especially for police officers. But now, a well-crafted Facebook post of a policeman - who got a letter while he was with Thrissur special branch police officer and the investigation he carried out based on it, leading to some awe-inspiring findings - is going viral.
The letter rather than complaint was about an unemployed youth who became very rich within a short span of time. The FB post is all about months of police investigation in search of his money source and startling finding at the end.
He starts the post saying – “you know the mental state when certain secret keeps choking us…I have decided to take to the Facebook post to tell that suspense-packed story in one such mental situation.”
Recalling his service in Thrissur Special branch, the police officer says how his superior officer got that complaint letter. He opened it to see details of illegal money dealings and blade mafia teams in that area. The main focus was on a blade money lender in Wadakkancherry. Though a jobless person, he had amassed wealth which included gold, bank deposits, lands etc within a short span of four years.
The complainant wanted to know how the man could gather so much wealth without a permanent job or income. “This time we decided to carry out the investigation not through the front but through the back direction. We identified the person… the details about his huge assets and wealth were found to be true. We secretly followed him and collected the call details of his mobile phone.
After months of investigation, we understood one thing, he never slept in his house at night. He left home at 9 pm and got back home early morning.
Finally our investigation led us to certain private bus owners in the area. And with great awe we came to know that his main job during night hours was to clean and wash private buses at Thrissur North bus stand. He got Rs 100 for cleaning a bus. Every day he cleaned about 40 buses and earned Rs 4000 a day.”
The police officer ends his post giving a big salute to the man.
