THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have got instruction to stop for now further investigation into the incident in which Swami Sandeepananda Giri’s ashram and vehicles were set on fire by some miscreants.

Reports said that top officers gave the instruction to stop further investigation for the time-being. Though the officers are well aware of the reason for suspending the investigation, no one is ready to disclose the details.

The police have been repeating the same excuses that the investigation is going on and they have not got any hint about the accused.
Superior police officers meanwhile said that the case diary showed that though the investigation has been going on for the past two months, no substantial progress was there in the case.

Sandeepananda Giri’s ashram was attacked in October after he supported women’s entry in Sabarimala. The attackers burnt two cars and a scooter after which they placed wreathe at the Ashram. Sandeepananda Giri claimed that there was a loss to the tune of more than one crore rupees to the ashram in the attack and alleged that Sangh Parivar was behind the attack.
