SABARIMALA: Three days have passed since Sabarimala opened for the pujas of Kumbam month but no heavy rush was seen at Sannidhanam. Even as Sabarimala is about to close on Sunday night at 10, Malaylis devotees presence are almost scarce.
Most of the devotees are people from other states. As the police have scaled down restrictions, the people are able to get a smooth darshan.

Usually, it is in Kumbam after Mandalam-Makaravilakku season that Malayli devotees are seen in large numbers in Sabarimala. Those who give the dashan a miss in the season usually await Kumba puja for darshan. But this time the number of such devotees from Kerala are very less. This development is likely to affect the income of Sabarimala. Volatile situation that followed covert entry of two women in Sabarimala is said to be the reason for this.

Meanwhile, Udayasthamaya puja (in the morning), Kalakabhishekam (in the noon) and Padi puja (6:30pm) will take place as usual till the temple closes after Kumba puja. Aravana and Appam will be available in counters near Azhi.
