THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The NGO has given a top post to the leader who attacked the SBI treasury bank on the national strike day. K A Baburaj was selected as Thiruvananthapuram north district president at the NGO union district meet held in Varkala. He is now under suspension.

Baburaj is the sixth accused in the case. The service organisation said that a probe is on in the organisational level. The attackers damaged SBI’s treasury branch in Statue on January 8 and 9.

The branch located near the secretariat was attacked on the national strike day. All branches of the SBI had worked on the first day of the strike.
