KOLLAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said Kunjananthan, who is serving jail term in TP Chandrasekharan murder case, was wrongly implicated in the case.
“It was UDF government that made Kunjanandan an accused in the case. It is not a right practice to make top leaders in a party, accused in fake cases, be it from any party. Moreover, Kodi Suni is not a member of CPM.”
Kodiyeri said if CPM workers were behind the twin murder in Kasargod, they should be punished. The culprits should be brought before the law, whoever it is. The Left won’t accept killings. No killings have happened with the knowledge of the party.
Earlier, the government clarified in the high court that no special consideration or concession were given to Kunjananthan in jail. The government told the court that Kunjananthan was a man with good behaviour in response to the petition filed by TP’s wife K K Rema against granting frequent paroles to Kunjananthan.
