KOCHI: The Thalassery sessions court Tuesday returned the supplementary charge sheet filed by the CBI slapping conspiracy charges against CPM district secretary P Jayarajan and T V Rajesh MLA in Ariyil Abdul Shukoor murder case.

The CBI can approach the high court with the charge sheet. The high court can take a decision which court to consider the charge sheet. With the return of the charge sheet, the CBI’s demand to shift the trial to CBI court in Kochi from Kannur is irrelevant.

The court did not consider the removal plea filed by P Jayarajan and Rajesh. The court said they will consider the removal plea after deciding on the court considering the charge sheet. The charge sheet was filed in the CBI Thalassery court after court returned the charge sheet filed in the Kochi CBI court last year.
