THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Though the BJP will highlight the Sabarimala issue in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, more emphasis will be given to Central government’s scheme so as to influence the beneficiaries of the schemes.
When the BJP made an evaluation of beneficiaries of the Centre’s schemes a year ago, 26 lakh persons got individual benefits of the schemes. Later this figure increased. The BJP plans to collect the details of the beneficiaries, approach them and ask their votes.
For this, the BJP will seek the service of Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Kisan Morcha and Scheduled Tribe Morcha. Earlier, the BJP had aimed at approaching 22 crore beneficiaries at national level.
It was after this that the Centre launched World’s biggest insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat. 10 crore people are its beneficiaries. Hike in the salaries of Asha/Aganwadi workers and increasing the limit of ESI/Income tax among others will be projected as the BJP’s achievements. In the last Lok Sabha election, the BJP had got 17 crore votes.
