The first thousand days of a government will be having many specialities. The aims and successes of the government can be seen clearly. Pinarayi Vijayan’s government had assumed power on 2016 May 25th. Therefore, the government has a lot to put on the table. They were able to keep many of their promises and they were criticised a lot for their stands. However, by taking such strong stands, they were able to achieve many things. They were able to undertake many huge projects and this shows that the government follows a stand in support of the developmental projects. Though many projects are not moving as fast as the government claims, Pinarayi government can be proud of their tenure for thousand days. They were able to keep a lot of their promises. Kerala had witnessed the greatest floods ever and this has affected many projects by the government. However, it should be noted that the state faced this issue unitedly.

People get attached to any government due to social welfare projects. LDF has introduced many social welfare programmes during their tenure. People from many layers of the society have clarified this. Government officials play a vital role in giving name for a particular government. The state police also has a very important role. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had briefed the officials to work efficiently on the first day after he assumed power. The public give marks for a particular government by looking at the efficiency of government officials and staff. If it is not being worked properly, then we should blame the officials for it. The system is still following a master-slave approach. There are many files in secretariat on which immediate action is required. This shows that many people suffer because of the flaws of the government system. This issue can be solved with the help of government unions and associations.

Projects like GAIL pipeline, hill ways and coastal ways and LNG terminal are being implemented because of the determination the government. Vizhinjam harbour problem will also be solved immediately. The government is also promoting many young entrepreneurs. Though the government plans and presents budget every year, financial growth happens when the money is being used effectively.
