LAKKIDI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the house of CRPF soldier V V Vasantha Kumar, who was killed in Pulwama attack. His wife Kamala, Ministers E P Jayarajan and Kadannapally Ramachandran too accompanied him.

He consoled the soldier’s mother, wife and children. Meantime, Sheena, wife of the soldier, requested the chief minister to give a permanent job to his sister. She also told the chief minister that they don’t have documents for their house and land. Steps should be taken for that or else construct a new house for them.

The government had yesterday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the family and a permanent job for Sheena. She is presently a temporary employee of the Veterinary University. The chief minister had also offered a job in sub inspector’s post.
