KASARGOD: Krishnan, father of Kripesh hacked to death in Periya, is moving the Kerala High Court seeking a CBI probe in the case. The murder was committed by a group from outside and more people are involved in it, he told reporters here. He said he is moving the high court seeking a CBI probe as he is not satisfied with the probe by the police.

Meantime, CPM local committee former member A Peethambaran arrested in the case, had told police that he committed the murder as the party did not intervene when the two attacked him during a local dispute. He told police that a dispute broke out between them over some local issues. Action was not taken even after complaining to the party. I took the extreme step as I didn’t get the consideration even after being a local committee member, he said.

However, the police has not taken his statement at face value. A probe by the police has found that Kripesh was not in the team who attacked Peethambaran over a dispute at Munnad Cooperative College. He was at home at the time of the incident. The police had not arraigned him in the case. Even after complaining to the party about Kripesh, no favourable action was taken, he said.
