KALPETTA: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, while visiting slain CRPF jawan Vasanth Kumar house on Wednesday, offered his wife Sheena, Sub-Inspector’s job in Kerala Police.
He also assured her of a posting in Wayanad district but Sheena politely rejected the offers, saying that she wished to get her current temporary post in Pookode Veterinary college regularised.
Informing her of the cabinet decision, the chief minister said Sheena could join as SI if she was interested. Pinarayi Vijayan had visited Vasanth Kumar’s ancestral house at Thrikkaipatta in Mukkamkunu with his wife, minister Kadakampally Surendran and other officials.
Sheena said she was not in a position to take up SI’s job as she had bring up her small children.
But the chief minister asked to rethink on it. He also promised them that the government would build a house for them after finding an ideal plot for it.
Sheena told the chief minister that her current house didn’t have proper documents so that the government may either help her get the documents or rehabilitate her in some other place.
