KASARGOD: The sensational threat speech of a CPM leader just a month before the Periya double murders, on killing congress leaders, has sparked a controversy. CPM district secretariat member V P P Musthafa while delivering his speech said that if Congress played too much with the party, it will scatter Congress leaders so that there won't be enough of Congress men left to be put on the funeral pyre.
The speech was delivered on January 7, two days after Peethambaran, accused in the Periya murder case, was attacked. " We are pardoning all the incidents including the attack on Peethambaran and Surendran. However, if provoked again, the CPM will surely to hit back after rising like a rocket. On its path, no remains of Kalyot, Govindan Nair, or Baburaj will be left to be put on the funeral pyre." CPM sympathisers had circulated the video of the speech in the Facebook.
