THIRUVANANTHAPURAM. Now chances seem to be more for the BJP to field actor-turned-MP Suresh Gopi as the candidate in Thiruvananthapuram during the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The above proposal comes from the evaluation of the party that winning chances will be more for Nair candidates in Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta, where BJP rests much hope on.

In Pathanamthitta, the BJP may try State president P S Sreedharan Pillai. Meanwhile, the RSS’ wish was to bring back Kummanam Rajasekharan to Thiruvananthapuram but this needs the BJ Pnational leadership’s permission but this would be impractical since Kummanam was made the governor only a few months ago.

Shobha Surendran is likely to be the candidate for Attingal. Though K P Sasikala’s name was raised for Pathanamthitta, RSS feels that Hindu Aikyavedi still requires her service.

K Surendran, who earned name through Sabarimala strike, will be fielded from BJP Thrissur.

The RSS’ calculation is that Surendran will be able to win Thrissur seat. BJP expects NSS’ support for Surendran, wherever he contest from.
The party also feels that the NSS will support only a few candidates.

Palakkad Coporporation vice-chairman and BJP State secretary C Krishna Kumar is likely to be the candidate for Palakkad seat, which BJP hopes to win.
