THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Literacy Mission’s ‘Changathi’ project’s second phase, aimed at teaching Malayalam to other state labourers, will begin on March. It will be implemented in selected local self-governing institutions in all districts. The survey to find the beneficiaries will be completed this month. ‘Changathi’ project in Perumbavoor at Ernakulam received a great response, which served as the encouragement to expand it statewide.
The project aims at making the labourers literate in the Malayalam language within four months. Educational centres, labour camps and even places of work will be made into study centres. Each education centres will accommodate 15 to 20 students.
