KADAKKAL: A woman was hacked to death in front of her children. The victim has been identified as Ramlabeevi (35) of Kadakkal. The incident happened last night at 9.45 pm. Two bike borne assailants barged into her house, threw chilli powder on her face and then hacked her to death. Estranged from her husband, she was staying with her children. After committing the crime, the assailants fled the place. Though she was rushed to Kadakkal taluk hospital, her life could not be saved. The police reached the sport and has started investigation. The police have obtained the clippings of the offenders from the CCTV cameras installed in nearby houses. The body is kept in the mortuary. She leaves behind her husband Shaji and children Rafi (15) and Rifan (12).
