POTHENCODE: Police have arrested four persons in connection with the murder of a youth named Vinayabose near Pullannivila. The arrested persons are Sabu (24), Sharath (27), Sachu aka Sharat(27) and Ajaykumar (30). They were caught by a team led by Attingal DySP Anil Kumar and Pothencode CI Shaji.

They were arrested in the case related to the murder of Vichu aka Vinobose (38). He was living alone in a house near Chanthavila Mannarathodi temple.
The accused are daily wage labourers and they used to gather at a junction near Pullanivila after work and engaged themselves in boozing.

On February 22 morning, the gang questioned Vinayabose who was coming that way. In the scuffle that ensued he was beaten black and blue by the four. Later the locals rushed him to Medical College hospital. Two days ago he died while undergoing treatment.

The police said their arrest would be registered after taking them to their hideouts for collecting evidence.
