KOLLAM: Vineeth, who is the prime accused in connection with the murder of a plus two student in Kollam was suspended by the jail DGP on Saturday. He was arrested on Friday, Victim's father said that they were contacted by the police to settle the case.
They were called to Chavara Thekkum Bhagam police station for the settlement talks. However, the family did not participate in the talks. Radhakrishnan, father of the victim also said the probe was purposefully delayed by the police.

The group led by Vineeth came to the boy’s house to question him for allegedly eve-teasing the former’s close relative. While talking with the boy, Vineeth slapped him. The boy lost his sense and was admitted at the taluk hospital in Sasthamcotta and when his condition worsened was shifted to the medical college hospital in the capital city. He succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
