The return of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan to India from Pak custody on Friday was celebrated all over India with uncontrollable revelry.
Though Pakistan changed the time of his handing over several times, thousands stay put at Wagah border eager to catch a glimpse of the valiant Indian when he walked in to India.
Though he had to be in Pak custody for 2.5 days, he walked back to India, with his head held high and without comprising the nation’s pride or dignity in the face of Pak interrogation.
The Pak administration unconditionally released Abhinandan without resorting to cheap tricks as India and world countries raised pressure against it.
The adamant unwavering stand taken by India in this matter will be remembered for ever. At diplomatic side also, this is a big victory for India.
Though Pakistan had to release Abhinandan very soon, there was no change in the volatile situation along the Indo-Pak border. Even when procedures were going on for handing over the commander to India, Pakistan violated cease fire, continued heavy shelling along the border. They continued attacks along Poonch Rajouri sectors on Thursday.
Shelling also caused injuries to civilians. A young woman and two children who were asleep inside their home were killed in the Pak shelling on Saturday morning in Poonch. This shows Pak has no intention to avoid civilian areas.
Even when Pakistan says that it wishes for peace along border, it is doing just the opposite. Not only along the border, are they destroying peaceful life of people by sending terrorists across the border in Kashmir also.
In the confrontation between terrorists and army, two CRPF jawans were killed on Friday. There are also locals aided or threatened by terrorists to attack soldiers.
Pakistan should stop financial and military aid given to terrorists completely.
Even the world countries have come to know about the hollowness of Pak’s cry for peace as it talks peace on the one hand, it gives all help to terror groups on the other.
This is also the reason why Pak has got isolated almost totally in the present issue. The reflection of this was seen in the recent Islamic summit in UAE. India getting an invite to attend the summit at a special guest is also seen as a big achievement for India.
India got invite despite Pakistan’s strong opposition to this. In IOC meeting External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj unequivocally stated that Pakistan should be ready to completely change its stand towards terrorists, if peace has to prevail along the border. This was notably not opposed by any world country.
For the cash-strapped Pakistan, the help of countries including Islamic countries is necessary. Now, Pakistan has come to realise that the price they have to pay for its soft stand towards terrorism is very heavy.
It could also be presumed that captured commander was released without delay since there was lot of pressure from countries including Saudi Arabia that have been helping Pakistan financially.
It is already clear that Pak-backed terror is the reason for unrest in Kashmir. Lauchpads of all terror groups are across the border. It is no more a secret that it is some among the Pak army who are giving training and weapons to terrorists and sending them to Kashmir.
Not only Pakistan but there are also other countries which harbour terrorists. All such countries should end this.
Notorious terrorist and Jasih e Mohammed chief Masood Azar is under the total protection of Pakistan. Pak, which feigned innocence about him has now come out with some details of his whereabouts. He was the kingpin of Mumbai terror attack and Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF jawans.
How long can Pakistan protect such terrorists and continue like this?
