CHENGANNUR: Air Marshall KC Hari Kumar, the man behind the IAF attacks at Balakot, retired with pride as the Western Air Commander. Chengannur Pandanattu, the native place of Hari Kumar, is gearing up to welcome the hero.
WAC under the leadership of Hari Kumar was key in the attacks at Balakot. Hari Kumar joined Indian Air Force in 1979. He received several army honors for his service. His father M.K.C. Pillai was a construction company consultant. Hari Kumar’s mother Sridevi Amma passed away last year. He did his schooling outside Kerala.
Meanwhile, there was a fake rumor regarding Hari Kumar in Pak media outlets that he has been sacked for a failed operation at Balakot. However, they didn’t know that Hari Kumar retired after a successful operation. Air Marshall Raghunathan Nambiar, a Palakkad native, is the new head of WAC.
