THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A decision has been taken on the CPI candidates contesting the coming Lok Sabha polls at the party state council convened here Monday. Candidates have been decided in the four seats the party is contesting. The party is fielding two MLAs this time.
Former minister and MLA C Divakaran is considered as the candidate for the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha polls. His selection last time had created a lot of controversy. MP C N Jayadevan from Thrissur will not be in the fray this time. Instead Janayugam editor Rajaji Mathew Thomas will be fielded here.
P P Suneer and Adoor MLA Chittayam Gopakumar will be fielded in Wayanad and Mavelikkara respectively. The seat allocation in LDF has not been completed. The candidates will be announced officially only after this.
