KATTAKKADA: A street seller in Kattakkada helped the police to arrest the four member gang who had been cheating locals with the colour Photostat of currency notes. 27-year old Shajahan who was arrested initially had bought cigarette from 60-year old Vimala Kumari leading to suspicion.

Though Vimala Kumari had expressed her suspicion, Shajahan tried to get way by saying that he had got the currency from ATM. Vimala Kumari gave the note to those near her shop. They also expressed their concerns about the note. Shajahan was immediately handed over to the police. During interrogation, Shajahan said that the notes were printed at 42-year old Shareef’s house.

Shareef and Shajahan made the notes with the help of 27-year old Puthan Veettil Arshad and 21-year old Saud, resident of Saud manzils.
