IDUKKI: A youth fled after abandoning his bike on seeing the motorcade of the minister. The incident happened near Kallar. Minister M M Mani reached the place to take part in a programme. Seeing the motorcade on the Kumily-Munnar road, the motorist fled the place leaving the bike there.

He abandoned his bike in front of a house. Seeing the bike for more than two days, the inmates of the house informed the police. He may have abandoned the bike after seeing the police as his vehicle did not have any documents. The police is conducting a detailed probe on the incident.
