KOTTAYAM: Kerala Congress (M) will form a crucial steering committee meeting today at Kottayam amidst differences between P.J. Joseph and party leadership. The 80 member steering committee will be in the afternoon after a parliamentary party meeting in the morning. As Mani group has the majority in both panels, top leaders within the party say that Joseph’s wish won’t be happening.

P.J. Joseph will continue to claim the seat in the parliamentary party meeting. After the meeting of top leaders, Chairman K.M. Mani will declare the candidacy on Monday or Tuesday.
