NEW DELHI: Actor Mohanlal was conferred the prestigious Padma Bhushan award by President Ram Nath Kovind at a function held at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan Monday morning.

Actor Prabhu Deva and singer Shankar Mahadevan was conferred Padma Shri Awards.



A reception will be accorded to the Keralites conferred with Padma Awards at the Kerala House Monday evening. Apart from Mohanlal, musician Jayan and archaeologist K K Muhammed will also be felicitated.

Scientist Nambi Narayan will be given the award on March 16.
