KASARGOD: Endosulphan protest committee has decided to stage a strike again as the government failed to keep their promise. Earlier, the committee had decided to end the protest following the involvement of chief minister.
However, the protest committee alleges that the government have broken their promise by issuing an ordinance on March 2nd. Protest committee had demanded to include everyone affected by the disease in the list. However, government ordinance states that only those people living outside the affected area will be considered.
The government had also promised to include everyone in the list on the basis of the medical camp reports of 2017. However, the ordinance states that another camp will be conducted to include those people in the list.
The committee has decided to stage the protests following this. As an initial step, a Collectorate march will be staged on March 19. Later, more protest methods will be incorporated in front of the secretariat.
