THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP former state chief Kummanam Rajashekaran announced to raise Sabarimala issue in the Lok Sabha polls. Not raising the issue is kind of eloping. Sabarimala will be mentioned not as polarisation but as freedom of worship, he said soon after he landed at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport.
He said a complaint will be lodged against the chief electoral officer at the central election commission. BJP state general secretary K Surendran had slammed the election commission yesterday. They attacked chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena for his statement asking political parties to skip Sabarimala issue.
The issue will be raised in the polls. The stand taken by the government on the issue will be discussed. Meena could not prevent political parties from discussing the issue and he has no right to say that, Surendran said.
