THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:BJP will declare its candidates for the upcoming elections within a week. The candidates will be declared by the central committee in Delhi. Party has called state president Advocate P S Sreedharan Pillai and general secretary Ganesh to New Delhi. No date has been officially confirmed.

The official faction of the party had a difference of opinion with Surendran faction. Surendran is the most popular candidate for BJP in four constituencies. However, a certain faction is opposing his candidacy. Leaders are going to New Delhi amidst these differences of opinion.

Meantime, many reports had come out disgracing state president prior to the core committee meeting in Kottayam. BJP state committee estimated that these reports should be condemned.
State president's name was also recommended by the leaders in several constituencies.
