THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Some dramatic scenes were witnessed at the all party meet convened by state electoral officer to discuss preparations for the Lok Sabha polls. A minor scuffle broke out between electoral officer Teeka Rama Meena and BJP leaders.

The BJP leaders got irritated when Meena said that he is the boss and should obey him. BJP state chief P S Sreedharan Pillai and senior leader J Padma Kumar opposed it. The two asked how you would become our boss. Meena is not seeing things legally and should respect political leaders, the two said. Many did not get chairs even to sit.

Media was allowed to enter the room before the meet began. When the dispute intensified, Meena asked them to leave the hall. The BJP was annoyed after Meena directed not to highlight Sabarimala issue in the Lok Sabha polls. Kummanam Rajashekaran and K Surendran came forward against this.

Party state panel member Krishnadas had lodged a complaint seeking his removal from the post. The complaint pointed that the directive was malicious and authoritarian.
