THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State president P S Sreedharan Pillai has said he is satisfied with the meeting called by State electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena to explain the model code of conduct with reference to Sabarimala issue.
“Sabarimala issue will be raised during the Lok Sabha election but I’m happy to get the clarification on what we can say on Sabarimala during election campaign… The BJP has never breached the law. The party has the right to create awareness among people but we are clear about the fact that no remarks should be made that would incite communal hatred. All BJP leaders are persons who know well the Lekshmana Rekha. The chief minister on Tuesday referred to Babri Masjid. He has the right to do that and we have the right to oppose it. The BJP will strongly criticise Pinarayi government’s stand on Sabarimala women’s entry during the election campaign,” he said.
