KOTTAYAM: The Congress has asked Kerala Congress M Chairman P J Joseph to declare ceasefire against Mani group in the current circumstances.
Joseph’s complaint will be addressed after the Lok Sabha election. However, UDF is not happy with K M Mani’s decisions over selection of candidates but they are also keeping mum as election is round the corner.

Meanwhile, K M Mani is not ready for any compromise in his stand even if the Congress puts pressure on him. This was clarified by party vice-chairman Jose K Mani.

Joseph has also made it clear that that he would not be able to get along well with Mani Group. Joseph group’s wish is to break away from Mani group and continue in the UDF. But the Congress’ stand is that a decision on it would be taken after the election.

Joseph is expected to take part in the election campaign actively for the UDF but it is unclear if he would campaign for Kottayam candidate. On the other hand, Thomas would soon visit P J Joseph in order to seek his help for election campaign.

Kerala Congress has six MLAs in total and four out of them are close to Mani and two are reportedly silent on the selection of candidates.
