THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have found out that the murder of 21-year old Youth Congress activist Ananthu Gireesh resulted from hatred between quotation teams in the city. Ananthu was kidnapped from Thaliyal in Karamana and later murdered. The police have arrested five people in connection with the murder. City police commissioner Sanjay Kumar Gurudin clarified that the police will arrest all of the accused without any delat. Kiran Krishnan, Muhammad Roshan, Arun Babu, Abhilash and Ram Karthik are arrested. All of them are natives of Konchiravila and they are below 25 years old.
It has become clear from the police investigation that there was an ongoing clash between two gangs in the area. There are many cases against bothe the gangs. The police have also obtained some visuals of the murder. The crime was committed under influence of drugs and alcohol.
The accused were brought to the murder spot and evidence were taken. The investigation was led by fort assistant commissioner Prathapa Chandran Nair. The body was recovered at 12 pm on Wednesday.
