THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP national leadership did not inform the state faction on Tom Vadakkan’s, former AICC secretary and congress spokesperson, entry to the BJP. The state leaders came to know about it through channels. It is hinted that it was not disclosed to them for the intensive infighting in the state party and the immaturity of leaders.

Whenever BJP chief Amit Shah comes to Kerala, he used to ask state leaders to concentrate in bringing leaders from other parties to their party. However, the immature behaviour of state leaders peeved the central leadership.

A noted leader of the state leadership in his speech at the public meet in Kannur had mentioned that ‘he will come’. This person, a noted congress leader, is a desired one for BJP activists in Kannur. His speech expressed that it was his ability bringing him to the party. With this, the strong congress leader from Kannur who was to join BJP, was offered more promises by the congress. This annoyed Amit Shah.
