THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The list of candidates will be announced on Monday, said party state chief P S Sreedharan Pillai. The national leadership will take a decision on the candidates to be fielded.

Pillai said, “If the party asks me to contest, it will be looked into at that phase, my task is only to make the party win, candidature is not seen seriously. I was not interested in contesting from Chengannur but just obeyed the decision of the party.”

In Pathanamthitta, a suitable candidate will be fielded, don’t connect my name. There were speculations that Pillai will be fielded here, he said.

Pillai said more from the north and south will join BJP. The candidature of Tom Vadakkan has not been discussed and a final decision will be taken by the national leadership, he said.
