KOZHIKODE: Union Minister Alphons Kannathanam said that his choice would be Pathanamthita if he would be contesting Lok Sabha polls. He said this to a news channel while responding to the news that he may contest in Pathanamthitta.

Kannanthanam said, “Currently there is no need for me to contest polls. I have three and a half years more in the Rajya Sabjha. But if the party asks me to contest then I will contest as a responsible party activist. If so, my top priority would be Pathanamthita.” Pathanamthitta is my home constituency. My assembly constituency comes there and so I give importance to Pathanamthitta. I don’t know whether decisions over Pathanamthitta seat has come. State chief and other leaders have gone to Delhi with the candidate's list, he said.
