NEW DELHI: According to recent reports, three of four BJP general secretaries won’t contest in the Lok Sabha polls. Sobha Surendran, K. Surendran, and M.T. might not compete.

Candidate possibilities:

Pathanamthitta – P.S. Sreedharan Pillai

Ernakulam- Tom Vadakkan

Alappuzha- K.S. Radhakrishnan

Kollam- Alphons Kannanthanam

Tom Vadakkan is the forerunner for Ernakulam seat. Another newcomer to the party, K.S. Radhakrishnan, is considered to be the candidate at Alappuzha and Chalakkudy.

M.T. Ramesh is not interested with the proposed Kozhikode seat. Sobha Surendran prefers Palakkad. According to sources, K. Surendran has been asked to contest at Attingal, but he prefers Thrissur or Pathanamthitta.

However, Thushar Vellappally might contest from Thrissur and P.S. Sreedharan Pillai is the best positioned for Pathanamthitta seat. In that case, K. Surendran won’t be contesting. Meanwhile, Vellappally has repeatedly asked Thushar not to contest. In case if he contests, he might have to resign his position at SNDP Yogam.
