The number of crimes in the state is getting increased along with the intensifying temperature. Brutal crimes are being committed in the state on a daily basis. Teenagers and youngsters are responsible for most of the crimes. Drugs are being seized from youngsters and people are clashing over small matters. Though, police are trying their best to arrest these criminals, the rate of crime is not declining.
Four local youth allegedly kidnapped a 14-year-old girl after beating up her father, who hails from Rajasthan and is involved in the pottery business, in Ochira, Kollam. The families from Rajasthan have been residing in Ochira town for the last eight years and are engaged in making clay pottery. Migrant labourers are experiencing such crimes from locals on a day to day basis. Police have registered the case and are hopeful that the accused will be arrested immediately.
Another man was granted bail recently in connection with a financial fraud after kidnapping a 14-year old girl. The recent abduction happened while the investigation is going on.
