Malayalam cine buffs are waiting for March 28, when Mohanlal starrer Lucifer will hit theatres. The film is being directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The film’s trailer that was released the other day was viewed by more than three lakh people in the Youtube within a few hours of its release.
But what is the connection between Lucifer and Minister Kadakampally Surendran. Prithviraj says there is connection between the two.
Just before the shooting of the film kicked off, Prithviraj had visited Kadakampally at his Thiruvananthapuram residence. The photo of that meeting had also gone viral. But during the press conference held by the Lucifer team the other day, Prithviraj said that the meeting was not in vain.
“The benefits we got for Lucifer after meeting Minister Kadakampally Surendran is indescribable. We got Kanakakkunnu palace for the shooting only because of that meeting. This is because shooting had been banned in the place for years. But I requested him to give us the place for shooting. I assured him that the film crew will handle the property very carefully as it is a heritage site and the place is part of Kerala history and culture. I told him that I let the crew in after making them understand the importance of the place. He gave me permission on the basis of this assurance.”
