THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A final decision on the candidature of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will be taken tomorrow, said opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. The congress election panel meet will be convened tomorrow, he said. Meantime, the words of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan that if congress activists focus on Rahul Gandhi’s win in Wayanad, their win in other constituencies is certain, is only their dream, alleged Chennithala.

An opportunist move of the left front and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan having a blind hatred towards Congress have been exposed now. Pinarayi, who was against the secular platform proposed by Sitaram Yechury, has no right to oppose the candidature of Rahul, said Chennithala.

Chennithala said Rahul's candidature is a golden opportunity for the people of Kerala. He asked whether the Left Front is ready to withdraw from the battle against Rahul in Wayanad if the opponent is BJP. The concern of the LDF is that the congress will win all the twenty seats and that is why they came to the fore against Rahul contesting polls, he said.
